Again, I can't believe we are only weeks away from Christmas and The New Year. Most of the
clubs are having functions to celebrate the end of the year. This would be most likely a BBQ
at someone's home or a meal at a local eatery. A great opportunity to catch up with fellow collectors
informally and you never know you may find that item you have been after.
Whilst researching the Lorimer phone (the subject of an article in this newsletter) I accessed
the club website, and my attention was diverted to the "new videos". I clicked on to a video of
the ATCS 1994 Collectors' Show. Part of this video had members talking about their display at
the show and collection. The last thing I expected to find there was one of our former members
(Arthur Challinor) talking about the phone I was researching. He admitted that he had made
this phone from just a picture. The moral of this story is don't underestimate what is on our
websites.
As of the end of November this year the old login and password will not access the members
only section of our website. You will receive the new login and password with your newsletter
if you have a postal subscription or by email if you have an electronic subscription.
